WAITRESS
I have been a waitress three different times during my working career. Let me tell you, it is not as easy as it looks, but I did enjoy this job. I guess because I am a people person.
Part of the duties I had was to vacuum some nights after closing, wrap the silverware, wipe down the tables and condiment bottles, putting what needed to be, in the refrigerator. Also to store any restaurant supplies that were delivered. These duties were shared by all the waitresses.
Generally tips were good. One owner went up on prices and reduced serving sizes at the same time, this had a bearing on tips until the folks had time to think about it and realized we were just the workers, not the rule makers.
