Years ago when our girls were home and we surprised them at Christmas, the then husband and I would be in the Sears parking lot waiting for them to open the Friday after Thanksgiving. We quit that many years ago.
I do not shop on Black Friday any more. Can’t fight the pushing and shoving of the shoppers. Shopping on Cyber Monday is a lot easier for me and sometimes the deals are just as good and some times better.
Which do you prefer or maybe you like to do both.
As far as material items, my Christmas will be very poor. I am scrimping and trying to figure out how I can get the grandchildren a very small worthwhile gift. If I do find a way to buy them a gift, I want it to last longer than the time it will take them to open it.
During the very early summer, I did buy an item for each of them, less than $5., but it is an item of clothing (which we all need). I am hoping to buy them something that they say they want. Only time will tell.
All but the 2 youngest are very understanding and can give me a low priced item that they would like to have. Low price being around $10. Three of them have already said they understand that I may not get them anything.
I have a dog, while some folks have 2, 3, and sometimes more dogs. Proper care is very expensive–Does anyone want a dog that is about 8 years, part Jack Russell and was abused as a puppy?
Bullett (my dog) has never had any dog beds. He has always been happy to come inside and go in his crate. He is only allowed inside at night and during very cold or bad weather.
Bullett never tries to come into the house, I open the backdoor which leads into the washroom, having already opened his crate and he goes right in. I feed him a small amount and he is content until the morning when I let him out and give him his morning food.
I said after my last dog died that I was thru with pets, but just could not stand the thought of this little fellow being abused. Hope I never see another abused animal.
I am ready to do my Thanksgiving Holiday travel and so is my car. At least the car is ready as far as I know and as much as I can do to have it ready.
I put gas in it over the week-end so my tank is almost full. This afternoon, I went out and checked the fluids and found that the coolant was very, very low and I needed a quart of oil. I then went to Advance Auto and had that taken care of for less than $20.00. That was still a lot on a budget so tight that it squeaks.
I sure hope my car does not decide to be an oil burner, that could create BIG problems.
The guy did recommend that I have the radiator flushed as he could see a lot of gunk in it. Hopefully, I can get that done next month.
