I had an appointment this morning with a PA. That is very unusual for me. I prefer to see the MD.
This PA was so thorough with me when I had my first episode of vertigo. She just took her time and made me feel very comfortable. I have been having minor problems of late, not being sure who I needed to see, I decided that I would go to her first and see what the game plan would be. I am thinking that in the future she will be my primary, my gyn, and my endocrinologist.
Why would I drop my specialist and see a PA? She explained more about my thyroid meds in 5 minutes than he has in 3 years.
I have been dizzy (not even a blonde) for about 5 days–no inner ear infection so she said it could be my thyroid levels or an UTI. She is testing both.
I was so dizzy that I ruined my daughter’s day, because I was afraid to drive on US17 and then into town to get my meds.
I must go back in a month for follow up. If I have anymore nights that I cannot sleep at all, I will tell her and maybe she will advise warm milk or she may even tell me to play FarmVille all night.
