WAITING
I am anxiously awaiting the extended FAMILY week-end at my brother’s in August. He and his wife own a beach house at Emerald Island. They are on the second street from the beach. This is good because of the small amount of exercise I get walking to and from the beach. Also at night, we can hear the roar of the ocean but not the loud chatter of those walking the beach.
DD will will try to go this year for the first time. She is highly allergic to dogs (they have 2) and must be very careful to wash her hands thoroughly if she pets one, can’t walk barefoot where they have been and sometimes has problems breathing the air in a house where they have been. This will be a very touchy situation for us. She will take her shot just in case her tongue begins to swell and her throat begins to close.
We always have so much fun–eating, playing on the beach, fellowship and playing games. It is just fun, fun, fun, FUN, FUN, from about 12 on Friday until about 3 on Sunday. Even with all the excitement the children are not rambunctious and unruly.
I guess this could be termed a family reunion for the descendants and their families of Daddy and Mother.
This beach trip is one of 2 events that I look forward to every year. I start anticipating the next year’s event on the way home from the present year’s event.
