WHAT a DIFFERENCE

a day makes!! or maybe even years.  As a teenager, I very rarely had any blackheads.  Since I have have reached my late 50′s and early 60′s it seems that I have more than some younger folks that are in their teens.

I do not understand this part of maturity, but I guess I will just have to cope as if I were in my younger years making sure that I clean my face regularly and thoroughly and use a very good astringent.

I guess I should be glad that I do not have acne and have to spend lots of $$ on meds and special cleaners and such.  Yes, life is good.

MODERN

I remember the days when water was pumped early in the morning and put in  an aluminum tub that had been placed to be in the sunshine most of the day behind a wisteria bush.  Very late afternoon, I would take my bath in that tub.  I was very young, probably 9 or 10.

Now with the modern conveniences of the world, if I could afford it, I could have walk in tubs in my house, instead of the step over the side type.  I have looked at this type tub and think the one with the little seat would be ideal for my arthritic knees.

I can dream about it until the money tree matures and starts giving money instead of leaves.

VISIT

My brother had business in the area Thursday afternoon and night and came by to see us for a while.

I really enjoyed his visit.  Did not feel the need to entertain or make small talk.  It was really good to see him.

I may just decide one week-end soon to get on that highway and drive up to see him and his wife.  I probably should do that.  He has been in this house several years and I have not even seen it so that is a good reason other than just to see him.
