What do you think is the best acne solution? This is a problem for lots of people. I know some that have used alcohol as part of their facial cleansing procedure. Did it really help or did they just think it did or did it merely just dry out the natural moisture from their skin. I guess we will never really know. I am just very thankful that acne was not a problem for me in my younger years.
Yes, I need to be dieting again. I have lost 11 pounds, if I am not careful, many nights like tonight and will gain those back and more. I do not want to be sick in order to loose the weight. I mentioned the mighty little thyroid gland’s functions in the previous post, it also controls metabolism. Of course, one can help or hinder this function to a degree with diets for quick weight loss and in general being very aware of food intake while still eating healthy.
In addition to my daily thyroid medication, I was taking several different vitamins and supplements that were of benefit to me. I am so negligent of my well being. I know these supplements helped me, yet I will not take them on a regular basis. Maybe I need some serious counseling as well as a daily reminder to take the supplements. No, not the reminder as that should be when I take the necessary medication to keep me alive. Yes, did you know that the little thyroid gland kept your heart in rhythm along with many other vital life preserving functions?
For some reason my body is producing large amounts of oil on my face and scalp. I can shampoo my hair this morning and by tomorrow night I need to do it again. This is not good but at least I am not, as yet, bothered with nodular acne. This is a problem that sometimes affects teenagers and young adults. I have been here too many years to be considered either. Oops, got a little off subject. If it doesn’t improve, I will discus it with the dermatologists at my next visit.
Why do I always eat too much when I go to a buffet diner? DH ate too much also.
He asked me what I wanted tonight and I said ‘fried chicken’, he then asked if I wanted to go to Golden Corral. I said we could stay home and have rice and eggs. He replied that would not be what I wanted and I said it could be the beginning of fried chicken.
He wins and we go to GC. I ate a variety of foods including a chicken wing and a chicken leg. I am still so overfilled and miserable, we got home about 6:30. Will I ever learn to eat a reasonable amount and not be a pig at the trough? I surely did not consider the amount of calories I was consuming tonight, I ate like I knew it was my last meal for several days.
A lot of teenagers and some young adults are plagued with acne. Sometimes the acne is so severe that it leaves permanent scars. If you or someone you love is trying one type treatment after another, check exposed acne treatment. Here you may find a treatment that others have used with good results. If a procedure helps one person, it may just help you. Often one is embarrassed by their acne just as one may be embarrassed by dandruff and really while there is hope for a cure, either brings down one’s self-esteem.
AS the old saying goes “Proud as a Peacock”.
This past nine weeks report cards made me very proud of the those still in school. This time the lowest grade was a C.
The one in high school made 1 A, 1 B and 2 Cs. Middle school student made 4 As and 2Cs.
I will not tell you the grades of the 4 in elementary school. This school always has recognition day shortly after report cards. They received quite a few rewards between the 4 of them.
StuntMan 5th grader–A-B Honor Roll, Music Award, Shimmering Shark (this is recognizing the students who are most helpful, most polite,etc). Shark is the school mascot.
SpideyMan 4th grader–A-B Honor Roll, Good Citizen and Music Awards
BatMan 1st grader–Art and Music Awards
Prissy Kindergarten–Teacher and Music Awards.
While I am bragging, just let me say the 4th and 5th graders also made A-B Honor Roll the first 9 weeks.
I am so very proud of them, all of them, those in school and those out. The two older grandsons are both working and have never been slackers. Other than their public job, if a personal job needs to be done, they do not wait until someone else does it for them or it is too late for repair, they get it done. The oldest granddaughter is also working and self sufficient.
Many people make this foolish resolution that they are going to diet during the new year and get down to such and such size.What are the best diet aids of which you know. The 4 best cannot be purchased! They are: 1) mental attitude 2) reduce calorie intake 3) exercise and 4) drink plenty of water. Dieting is serious business if one is sincere. Keep in mind that even tho calories are reduced, one should always eat healthy. Losing weight over a long period of time is better than crash dieting. Not only will the weight stay off longer if you no longer watch what you eat but is much healthier for you.
I keep DaBaby for her mom to work and we almost always have very good days. If she stays home at night, she comes in the door the next morning saying “I wanna watch TV and can I spend night”. She is about half here and half at home at night. That will all end when she starts to school. Before school started, it seemed one or more were here almost every night and I had nor have any objections to that. If they are not in school, and I have not made plans, I usually agree to whomever wants to spend the night, sometimes it is all of the 4 younger ones.
Tonight it is SpideyMan. The 3 younger ones are having visitation with their dad but he chose to stay with us. He usually stays if at all possible. Sometimes I will tell him that so and so needs one on one time and he will have to come another time. He is most times okay with that. I am just so blessed that they are so near and do want to spend time with us.
DaBaby did not hesitate today to tell me she was granddaddy’s girl and Prissy was my girl. In fact, she divided the children between us, telling me who was mine and who was granddaddy’s. What she doesn’t know is that ALL of them are ours.
I should probably never consider the occupation as a consultant. I have no tact and tend to speak my mind without thinking of how the person with whom I am speaking will take my words. (One of my daughters has the same problem.) On second thought I may be able to handle the position of being on a team of business plan consultants. My ideas could be presented in someone else’s words and not sound harsh. Nah, just think I will stay retired.
