More and more businesses are posting those little NO SMOKING signs on their doors. If you are a smoker, the solution for you may be the electronic cigarette I saw last Friday night. It looks so real!, instead of a red fire, it has a blue imitation. The person who had it said that it was very satisfying and had helped him reduce his real cigarette smoking by more than 50%. Technology–nicotine without tar provided by a battery operated cigarette. Who would have dreamed 25 years ago that this was even possible.

Today was very nice outside but I was not out but to the car and back.

DH and I went over to his mom’s about 9 and spent most of the day there.  I did not do anything to assist with her care today, but it was nice being with the family.  I am afraid this is going to be a longer process to get her walking with a walker than some think.  We will just have to take it at her pace and see how things go.

Before we left this afternoon, everyone chose shifts that we would stay with her.  I am staying Thursday day.  I just hope I can do what I am suppose to like she wants.  Mainly, I will be keeping her company, getting her something to drink preparing her breakfast and lunch and maybe even her supper.  Also, assisting with med taking but that she handles well.

Time will tell all of us what we need to do and when.

Age has some advantages and for some lots of disadvantages.  I for one have some of the disadvantages, one in particular.  Getting ready to tell my business now.  As I have gotten older the very fine hair on my face has decided to get stiff and some of it is dark and some of it white. Some of these 14-15 year old boys running around with their pants hanging down would love to have the beard that I have.

DH asked what I wanted for Christmas and I said laser treatment for my face.  The only drawback of having laser is the white hair will stay.  I guess next year I can ask for electrolysis.  When I went for my first treatment, the aesthetician told me the laser would also serve as wrinkle treatments.  I sure hope it does, as I have my share of those, too. Time will tell.

I must remember age is not a curse but a blessing.

My mother-in-law fell Tuesday morning and did it ever mess her up.  She has a shattered vertebrae in her lower back.  It seems the doctors would be concerned with bone penetrating the spinal cord, but they are not doing surgery at this point.  She may not have a lot of joint pain, but I am sure she is in a lot of pain.  The treatment for now is a back brace and percocet for pain.  She will wear the brace for 3 months and after that, I do not know what the plan is.  I hope she does not have to have pain medication for the rest of her days.

Hubby is there checking on her and visiting with her now.  He has worked everyday and this is his first chance to see for himself just what is what.  He and the baby sister are the only ones that work,  The other 4 have retired.  The baby sister is self-employed and probably has not worked since this happened.  Even not having to report in to work does not pay the bills.  The only advantage is job security.

I have 2 daughters and if I cannot think of something to buy for them, I know that a gift certificate to a shoe store will make both of them happy.  They come by that honest—I love me some shoes!

If you are having trouble thinking of something to buy for someone special whether it be mom, daughter, sister friend or wife, may I suggest gifts for her. I am sure that you will find something for everyone on your list here.

Lots of folks have tell tell signs when they are overtired.  Spideyman has dark under eye circles when he is tired.  He is only 10 but if he does not get proper rest he has huge dark circles.  I don’t know how the school system expects a child to get proper rest when the bus comes at 7am for pick-up and drops off at 3:45.  After they get home, have a snack, few minutes of play time, homework, supper and baths, it is almost impossible to get the proper rest.

Poor little Prissy will fall asleep if she is not active for a few minutes.  I just cannot understand all day long school for those in kindergarten with no nap time scheduled.

Am I just lazy or do I have no energy? I prefer to think it is the later and the reason is, some days I feel pretty good and other days I am just sluggish. I have read that hgh releasers are a real benefit to helping one feel better.  With my thyroid condition, I am some what afraid to take anything that may influence my energy level or metabolism unless it is prescribed.  Nothing like this from over the counter for me.

One thing for sure and 2 things for certain, there is nothing wrong with DaBaby’s appetite.  All week she had asked to have cereal for breakfast, this morning she wanted an egg, then another, and yet another.  Instead of the third egg, she ate a serving of applesauce.  If she continues with this robust appetite, she, for sure, will be seeking the best fat burner ever.

When the weather warms, we will definitely have to be outside burning off some of those calories.  I need to burn a lot too.

Some types of pain I have very low tolerance. When my feet hurt, my entire body is uncomfortable.  When I was a young child, I suffered a great deal with the ear ache and even now if I am out in the least bit of wind, I will have an ear ache. The tooth ache is yet another pain that I have difficulty not letting it get the best of me.  However if I am ever in the area of Plano and get the tooth ache, fast relief can be found at this Plano dentist. My motto is: if pain can be avoided then avoid it.

DaBaby will be 4 Saturday and does she ever love eggs. I know her age and what she likes to eat are not related subjects.

Friday she asked for a fried egg.  By asking her questions, I determined that she wanted it over easy or maybe over-medium.  She ate one for breakfast, one for lunch and one for snack.

Today starts out a little different.  She came at 8:45 and by 10:45 she had eaten 3 eggs.  She asked that she have 2 for breakfast, which she readily ate.  mind you, this is nothing but the egg-no bread or grits or hash browns or rice.  Just a bare runny yolk egg.  Shortly after she ate, not more than 10 minutes, she ate 2 candy hearts and a very small bag of roasted peanuts and asked for more junk foods.  I said “no more junk, would you like another egg” and she said “YES” and ate it.

I need to do some research on the egg and see if it still poses the health hazard it did some years ago.  At least she is getting in some good protein.

BatMan likes eggs cooked this way, also.  SpideyMan does not like eggs.  I know of several people that eat ketchup with their eggs, I think I will ask him if he would like to try it.

Going to check FB home page and my farm in the FarmVille game, then I am going to work some on that crochet pattern I am trying to design.
