SQUASH in the FREEZER
I have been busy again. I already had the squash prepared for freezing and bagged it after lunch. I prepared this the same as I did the last I froze, just adding more bacon and onion. I got 10 packs with 2/3 cup in each pack. This gives me a total of 16 packs and I want to prepare at list 44 more, plus several for squash pudding.
The extra packs may come in handy if I have extras at meal time and have planned to have squash. I have always heard and occasionally say “a bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush” so I also need to freeze more than is needed just in case we do not have any next year.
This sure does look yummy, don’t you agree? Do you see the bits of bacon?
