THURSDAY: Do I really have to fold laundry, straighten the house, work on the taxes work in the dungeon, and later prepare supper?
I started off with very good intentions, but did not get very far. I did straighten the living room, did very little in the dungeon, but supper was delicious.
I started preparing around 2 and DD#1 asked me why was I starting so very early and I just replied because I work so very slow. She thought that was funny. Well, it may have been but in truth I do work very slow.
Menu: Fried chicken, baked chicken, rice, gravy, creamed potatoes, little green butter beans (southern style) and watergate salad. All the children except the 2 smallest said I fried the best chicken ever. GD#2 said I fixed her favorite foods.
I do not use instant potatoes, I peeled about 12 medium to large size potatoes, washed and cubed them into the crock pot, made the watergate salad, cut up the chicken I was baking, washed and put it in the oven and washed the 14 thighs. The beans, I cooked while doing this, so I could re-heat them in the microwave. I do not use the instant type rice either. Put the rice on and started the chicken. I enjoyed my supper!!!!
FRIDAY: was a fairly good day. Worked in the dungeon, took a box of clothes and 2 clothes racks to Good Will. Went thru almost all of the containers I had packed, looking for Grand Sandy’s picture, did not find it.
After I came home from the Good Will, I did start compling numbers for the taxes. I worked on this project about 6 hours. Still am not finished. I have gone thru 36 months of bank statements, not 3 years, his and 2 of mine. Have already found that one of the ledger sheets that I keep on medical bills do not match the bank statements. Oh well, I will ge it done before the 15th. I think this is the latest, we have ever prepared our taxes in 33 years.
SATURDAY: we are to venture into South Carolina. We need to do a little shopping at our favorite outlet mall. We need to get MIL her Mother’s day and birthday presents DH will pay for those, I just need to be careful that I do not overspend.
Before we can go shopping, I have to do a little more in the house, (vacummed yesterday), shampoo my hair and cut his. I also need to start some stewbeef in the crock pot.
If time allows, I need to work on the taxes some more, but prefer to wait until I can work until I am ready to quit.
