BLOG your BLESSING 3-29-09

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

What a blessing!!  Went to baptismal service to see my 15 year old GD, 13 year old GD and their dad baptized.

A few months ago, I witnessed the baptism of 2 of the grandsons.  The 3 youngest are left in that family to make their decision to follow Christ.

SLOW TODAY

Friday, March 27th, 2009

I did not get much accomplished today.  I did 2 loads of laundry completely, and watched the baby girls from about 10:30 til 5.  We had a simple lunch today, peanut butter sandwich and I can’t remember what else.

I have cleared a little space from the freezer top.  Maybe tomorrow will be more productive.   I really need that extra pantry for storage.   I may have to get it tomorrow.  Time will tell.  I think if I had it, I could finish the freezer room in a very short time.   Possibly go thru all the junk and still be finished in a day.

PINK SLIP

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Have you received your pink slip or expecting one from your employer??  This may be the time to consider a career change.   St. Joseph University offers many different programs in their online Management Certificate Program.

Attend at home, on your computer, this will save you time and money. Each program that offers a CAPM certificate, will give approximate salary and projected position demand until 2016

The programs are many, ranging from Teacher Assistant to Engineering Managers.  If you are leaning towards a career in computers, several different opportunities are available in this field.  This is a fairly safe field to enter, as more and more people, individuals not to mention even the 2 person business, rely on computers for so much of their day to day happenings.

If you are looking to improve in your profession or change professions, I am sure that St. Joseph offers a program that will assist you.

ACNE

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

I have noticed recently that 2 of my special people are having minor problems with acne.  I hope this is due to the stress of the day or having hands on the face too much.  I will notice again the next time I see either of them and judge the situation then.  However, if the problem should become severe and scaring happens, we have the option of microdermabrasion.  This modern medical miracle is a blessing for many.

BEING SAFE

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

I just realized within the past 2 minutes, I never locate the exits when I enter a store. I do not mean literally go to the exit or emergency exit, I am saying that I do not look for the exit sign. This is not a safe move on my part, especially if I should have one or more of the grandchildren with me. I will make a conscientious effort to change this behavior in the future, whether alone or if I have someone with me..

WHICH ONE

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

Insurance. Insurance! Insurance? So many ranges, so many choices, how is one to ever know if the right decision has been made.  When dealing with term life insurance companies, I suggest that you know as much as possible about your agent.  Knowing your agent will let you trust the advice they give you and possibly you will make the best choice of all those presented.  After all the purpose of any insurance is the protection of you and your family.

GETTING CLOSER

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

I am slowly getting closer to the day that I will move my desk and computer into the freezer room. I am planning to make a few changes. I have a larger desk on layaway. It is almost mine–owe less than $10.  It is just a few inches longer than the one I have but has more storage space in the hutch area. I am hoping the extra storage space will allow me to get rid of one small bookshelf. When the computer is moved, I do know that I will not be getting a KVM switch.  Who knows what will happen in the future?

All of this re-arranging is involved with my re-decorating.

CHILD CARE

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

I said earlier that I had a new job babysitting.  The youngest is 3 so I guess it is more child care than babysitting.  The most I have to do is prepare lunch and remind the 3yro to go potty.

I do not let them use the controls for the TV and DVD, so they call me about every 90 minutes.  The boys like to go outside.

Here is a pic of Drama and DaBaby relaxing as they watch a movie.

DaBaby (in the pink pants) is almost as big as her sister. She probably weighs more but is not as tall.

MAKING PROGRESS

Wednesday, March 25th, 2009

I am making progress in the dungeon–not that I am clearing much out of it, but am moving the furniture in that I want to be in that room.  Today the other video cabinet,  the videos put back in alphabetically and the sewing cabinet were put in there.  DD#1 practically picked up the sewing cabinet by herself.  The sewing cabinet is not exactly where I want it but that will be an easy feat.  I am still taking stuff out of that room, either to people I know, Good Will, or the trash.

Now to what is referred to as the freezer room (where the above stuff was), it looks like a cyclone has been thru it.  I can’t get in the chest type freezer, the top is so loaded with junk that was on the sewing cabinet or stacked under it.   That is ok as long as I feel like I am making progress and I am.

Tomorrow, I need to get a big trash can and put it close to the freezer and just start going thru stuff.  There is a lot of what is now trash and I already have seen some items that will go to Good Will.

I want to get another pantry to go in the freezer room.  Hopefully, I will soon move the computer in the freezer room which will enlarge the dining room about 2 1/2 feet.
