TOO MANY POSTS

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

I did too many posts today, but felt it was necessary to accomplish the tasks at hand. I can’t remember the last time that I did so many in one day.

I think that one has to take advantage of the opportunity when it is presented and that is what I did. When one can make money and wants to make money if it is legit, then I think that is exactly what should be done.

Hope you haven’t been bored with my many posts. There is some truth in all of them and some of them are entirely true. I am sure you can decide which are which.

Depending on what happens there may or may not be another post today.

CHILDREN PLAYING

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

The children entertain themselves with the aid of the TV, if they are not tired.  Now one of the boys is outside with his granddaddy and the baby boy and baby girl are watching cartoons and the 4 year old girl is playing with the “make-up” she got yesterday.

The boys do ok when they get tired but those baby girls are a different story.  The baby whines, I can’t stand whining.  The other one asks ????????????????.  Almost before I can get one ? answered, she is asking another.

Oh yes, it is fun and sometimes entertaining to baby sit.  The 4 year old just told me “you never let me go outside”.  She is a little correct, if it is wet outside, I do not let her go out.  She was trying really hard not to cry when I said she could not go out.  She did succeed.

They are so cute, the 3year old (next month) says whatever the others say.  Don’t get me wrong she has a vocabulary of her own, but if I ask if they want such and such, she always says what is said before her.

PREPARING LUNCH

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

I need to prepare the little ones lunch.  What will it be??  DH and I never eat lunch when we are home.  I am probably going to prepare some cream of chicken soup for them with crackers.  That sounds pretty good to me, hope they like it. If I had any ipods, I would need to put them away before I start the preparation. If I just left them laying out, the little one might try to put them in her mouth. I really do not think that would be healthy and may damage them.

WEATHER IMPROVING

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

It was very cloudy this morning having rained overnite.  The sun is trying to peek thru the clouds now.   I sure hope it does.  Our temps are suppose to start dropping today and a prediction of possibly snow on my birthday with a high of 36.

I just went to the weather channel and prediction has been changed—just very cold with a high of 32.

Back to the sun coming out, if it does, I guess I will have to let the poor little underprivlidged girl that I never let go out, go out and play for a while.

REMODELING KITCHEN

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

I sure wish that I could remodel my kitchen.  First, I would add cabinets over the bar that separates the kitchen from the dining room.  Next, I would put in new flooring and different floor covering.  Last but not least, I would install new, deeper sinks and Danze faucets. Danze has some really nice ones from which to choose, but I think this is my favorite.

PEOPLE DYING

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

What a morbid but true to life happening. As surely as one lives they will die.

This afternoon there is to be family visitation for a guy that was once married to one of my classmates. I wanted to go but DD#1 needs me to baby sit. I did not tell her about the visitation.

So many people are dying from the awful disease of cancer. This guy had just found out he had pancreatic cancer, I am thinking that no more than 6 weeks, if that long. His sister had stomach cancer a few years ago but is a survivor, one of his brothers also has cancer but reports are that he is in remission, another brother needs a kidney transplant, and another brother has had severe kidney problems.

This family has surely seen a lot of serious sickness.

BIRD WATCHING

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

I like to watch birds. I enjoy standing at my kitchen window, watching the birds come and go to and from the birdbath. I can also see the bluebird box from that window. Some birds fly with such grace as they swoop and rise thru the air, while others can soar thru the air with little flapping of their wings, and the little humming bird flaps its wings so fast, and others are so pretty in color.

Only yesterday, I saw a male bluebird. They are not suppose to be here in mid January. If I had a pair of Nikon binoculars, I may be able to identify many of the other birds that I see. I can only identify a few birds but I like to watch them even if I do not know what kind they are.

BLOG your BLESSING

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

My blessing this week is selfish.  I am thankful and blessed to live close to my daughters.  Both of them are a treasure to me.

DD#2 lives about 40 miles away.  I do not spend as much time with her as I would like but she is a very good cosmetologists and stays quite busy.  When we are together, we always enjoy ourselves.  Maybe one day, we can go shopping together.

DD#1 lives about a mile away and I see her several times a week.  Since I am only working 1 day a week, if she needs a baby sitter, I am it, if DGD#2 doesn’t watch over the younger children.   If there is any type of emergency DD#1 calls me to help solve it, or keep the children.

God watches over His own in His way.  Sometimes we may ??? what or why, but in His time, all will be well if we obey.

MEMORY GONE

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

Sometimes I have the hardest time remember what has happened or is to happen, or how I am suppose to do something with my crafts.  For instance, I am making a toboggan and cannot remember how to do the stitching around the part that turns up so that it will lay even. A few months back I had a doctor’s appointment and completely forgot it.  If my brain was a computer I could install memory cards and that would solve my problem.

SELF PORTRAIT SUNDAY 1-11-09

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

Well, I am very tired but it was well worth it.  I don’t think my pic shows how tired I am.  I am enjoying watching the grandchildren play.  Really it is more like, “Grandi, Grandi, watch this”.

This was taken last night after fun day with family.
