DD#1 told me her children were afraid of me and I asked the youngest boy, he laughed and said no. He may not be, but apparently the oldest boy is. I need to work on changing that. I do want the children to respect me and move when I speak but I do NOT want them afraid of me.
Last night some of the children were putting together a puzzle and in the act of looking for all of the pieces Stuntman knocked my beading board off of the end table. (I should not have left it hanging over the edge). He came in the kitchen with great big tears ready to fall saying he was really sorry but by accident he had knocked over my beading board. I started waving my arms saying “Oh my, Oh my, what is Grandi gonna do? I’ll just have to redo it.” and laughed, so then he laughed. I had already started stringing the beads in the order that I had laid them.
I do not let them play rough in the house because I am afraid something will get broken and have made them sit for punishment when they have disobeyed.
Now I need to separate the sizes of beads, and lay out the pattern again for the glass lanyard that I am making so that I can get it strung and sell it to the person that requested this particular color.
Maybe I can get it done before the day is over and post it on the Craft Club.
