A DIFFERENT DOCTOR
My lower legs and feet have been swelling for a few years,usually in the summer so I just blamed it on the heat. A few weeks back, my lower legs were blotched, strange, just from my ankles to just below my knees. It looked as if I had a rash but there were no little bumps, just redness. Again, this happened, but only two or three places. This mess started again on Thursday and did not go away during the night.
I called the Doctor that I see for things other than my thyroid and I was in his office in less than 2 hours. He does not know the problem yet, but is doing test to either confirm or rule out my heart. Yesterday I had a venous doppler, chest x-ray(2 views) and 4 vials of blood drawn to be analyzed 5 ways. He said he should have results Monday.
The supervisors at my job are the best! This being tax free week-end, we were very busy, and a person short at the service desk, but they did not complain in the least or even suggest that I wait. As soon as I could, I returned to work and was asked when my shift ended if I would mind staying until someone finished their dinner break. Of course, I stayed. I have worked at places that thought one was never to miss work for any reason.
