Thankfully, I have never been bothered with major acne problems, just an occasional pimple. Some of my friends in high school had sever problems with blackheads. Some of the other students were so insensitive to the plight of these friends. I know people that are deeply scarred by the pimple monster from the problems they had as teenagers. Some adults even have problems. There is help for the young and old at

I do not want or care for almost nothing lacy lounge or sleepwear. I like what I can feel comfortable answering the door wearing if some one I know comes knocking. My lingerie is in very good taste and I am very comfortable with the fit and the ease of care. I always buy from the same store, they have a variety of colors with matching gowns and robes and/or pajamas and robes. The best part is the items are half price of what I would pay in any regular store.

I seriously need to lose about 30 pounds, never to find them again. I have a membership at a fitness center and also have a treadmill at home. If I do not apply to my advantage what is available to me now, all the treadmills within a 50 mile radius will not help me. I know the best physical exercise for weight loss is walking, but one also needs to cut the calorie and fat intake. I know all the rules, I just do not apply them.

Readers, please tell me which color-way you like best. Sometimes it helps to have the opinion of others. I will post Friday in the Craft Club the one I have chosen. When looking at the pics imagine A with darker solid stitching above the lighter.

I have not posted about all the peas.  Just by driving around looking for a particular roadside stand, I found PEAS at another stand.  DD and I have shelled 4 bushels of peas.  We have eaten fresh peas and has her family.  I have frozen 41 pints and probably have about 10 or 12 pints ready to bag and freeze.  Those of you familiar with the different varieties, these are the Dixie Lee.  I am off Tuesday and am still searching for butter beans but will get more peas if I can’t find the beans.

DH and I did quite a bit of yard work at Mother’s house this spring. There is still a lot that needs to be done, maybe we can do more this fall. The roof really needs some serious repair in one spot, but I am having difficulty finding someone to do it, since I need to be there when it is done. I am glad that we do not have to be responsible for fence installation, because that can also be expensive.

I am not a good cook, but the food that I have cooked over the last month has been good. Not only do I think so but apparently DH does also, because we have very few left overs. I know that if one is trying to lose weight, they should only have small servings of the chosen foods. I have found this to be quite difficult of late—think here of fresh corn and fresh peas. If I continue eating too much, I may be forced to try weight loss pills.

Some think that 3 tries and you are out—–usually my third attempt at making an afghan is the pattern that I will finish. I do not do swatches (one day I may learn I need to do this) so I have the trial and error method. My problem is getting the pattern in the right color combination order. Hopefully, next week I can show you in pics what I mean by this.

This are the color choices that I will be using to make Prissy’s afghan.dscf1033.JPG

I went over yesterday to show DD the way it was being done and Prissy saw just the yarn and said ” Is that for me, I want that blanket”.

Visit Here and let us see your craft.

I still have not been able to find any butter beans that I feel we can afford. Thirty-two dollars per bushel is quite pricey. I do not wear much jewelry and do not even own a gold chain, but if I did, I might consider trading it for about 5 bushels of beans. Mother had a nice chain necklace, does anyone in the blogsphere want to trade me butter beans for the chain?

I do not have any pics to show. I have added about 3 rows to the capelet for DGD#2 and today I started an afghan for DGD#4. This will be my pattern, I did the pattern about 2 years ago after I finished afghans for DGS#4 and #5 using patterns that I made.

DH took DD and myself to N. Myrtle Beach to get the yarn for Prissy’s (Drama) afghan. The name of this yarn shop is “Knitting up a Storm”.

Need to get up and do some stitching with the H hook.
