Folks, I was not wrong when I said I would spend a small fortune at the optometrist today. Exam, frames and lenses set us back $586.20. This price is after a 30% discount. Believe me if I could see, I would avoid this expense. True, I could go to Wal-Mart or similar places for an exam and lenses, but if the lenses should not be exactly what I need then I would have to start all over. This guy does guarantee his work.
I have never thought much about special needs insurance-just the basics health, home and auto. I have just read about travel health insurance. This is something I should definitely consider if I ever again decide to drive to Texas or any where else that is some distance from home. How about you, have you ever purchased this type of insurance? Do you think it was worth while or just a waste of your money?
I am now on my second printer since becoming a part of the world wide web. DH got both of them as a surprise to me. I have no complaints about the workmanship of either, the first one did what it was designed to do until it wore beyond repair and the second one is doing the same. I have done very little window shopping for printers, but if I shop and buy the next one, it will have added features. I would like for our next printer to have fax and copy features. Time will tell.
I am always side-tracked. Even when I make a list, I get side-tracked. I had planned to get a serious start on my list from Saturday before leaving for my appointment in town. The main thing was to finish clearing my desk. Not happening!!! I start a load of laundry and realize that I just have too many clothes and no where to hang them. This means that I go in the storage room and get a clothes rack that I took down when Mother moved in with us and put it back up in what I now refer to as “Mother’s room”. Transfer clothes from one room to this room. Write three posts for PU2B. Open the fridge for milk to go in my coffee and see the empty tea pitcher so I put tea bags on to boil for DH’s tea. Now I have to finish the tea.
I have cleaned the very top of the desk. It is clean to me, maybe not to others.
The clothes are in the dryer and cannot be left there until I return because they are my work shirts and will need to be hung immediately when the dryer stops.

Am I the only one that this demon bothers???
I am referring here to a watch. I myself prefer just a cheap, plain, with indigo lighting, stainless steal watch. This is especially hard for me to find sometimes when I am in need of a watch. It seems that most people prefer gold watches, whether they be real or fake. I am basing this opinion on the fact that most display cases have about 20 gold colored watches to 1 silver colored watch.
Insurance is a pain, but something every one needs and is sometimes required by law to have. Insurance on your car is law required. One must at the very minimum protect others with liability insurance on their vehicles. I have often heard of online car insurance but prefer to deal directly with a local agent. It pays to shop around for the best coverage for the least amount of money whether online or in person.
The delay in renting Mother’s house and it only 50 miles away makes me glad that I do not have any Branson real estate. Can you imagine the difficulty it would be to manage property there from this distance. I know that I could get a real estate agent to handle it for me but if possible, I like to do things myself. Some folks make their living with rental properties but that is not ‘my cup of tea’.
