OK, so I am a day late.
It is really hard to show progress when since last report only 3 rows have been finished and 2 of those ripped out. Maybe next week will be better.

I can’t seem to get back on schedule with my tackling. I will, I will!! Want an excuse??? I have been really busy at Mother’s doing things that had to be done there before I could rent the house.

This post is not meant to be boastful or arrogant.
As I was preparing food to cook ahead for the week, I was thinking how blessed DH and I are that we eat what we want. When either of us go to the grocery store, we buy what we see that we want, cost is not weighed in our decision unless we choose for it to be. I know people that have such a tight budget that when making a grocery list, they look at the free ad papers and only purchase what is on sale and then only a bare minimum. They do not have enough money to stock up on sale items. This is sad because if they could stock-pile, it would ease their budget later.
Yes, we do shop for things on sale and always look for a bargain. An example is that I go to Wal-mart to buy smoked pork chops. They are in 1 pound packages and the last time I bought any they were $4.99 per package. This is not cheap, but definitely cheaper than the local grocery store. We also buy store brand if it is as tasteful as the name brand.
The increasing cost of gasoline may change this blessing, but I will always be blessed.
Another blessing that I must not overlook today is the many men and women that have done and are doing what it takes for me to live in a country where I can go to church where I choose, say what I choose about any subject, choose my job, my place of residence. I am speaking of FREEDOM. From comments I hear, some people do not appreciate the price others have made so that they can make the derogatory comments they do.
Thank you! family members, friends, acquaintances and those that I do not even know before my time and during for my freedom.

I was very disappointed at the floor models available for viewing at the local Sears store. I asked for a certain sales clerk and she declined to help saying she did not know about stoves and said another associate could help me more. Well, he may be suppose to know about stoves, but I really am not sure that he does. He could not answer my questions. I went away without purchasing a stove.
After getting home I did more searching on the web. It seemed that 2 stoves were identical except for $100. difference in price. I called the help line # for online shopping and she was really brilliant!! The reasons for the price difference is because the cheaper one is more popular and sells more therefore the price can be lowered on it and it was made 3-5 years before the higher price one. Not True!!
Not satisfied with her answer, I did more searching and viewing of the 2 models that interest me most. When I view the control panels for the umpteenth time, I finally see that the more expensive stove also has a convection oven as well as the standard oven. This is not stated in the comparison notes.
You think maybe I should call the CEO and tell him the people that answer the phones at the help center really need more training and possibly those working in the Wilmington store.
I have made my decision for the cheaper stove if it has a hidden oven element.
DH asked me what I wanted for Christmas (2007) and I told him that I would like to have a smooth top range. I cannot get one of the burners on the one I have now to work, but he can. Before we could go stove shopping and almost emergency happened that took a big chunk of his savings so I told him to just wait on the stove. One day this week, he said it was about time for me to get my (our) stove.
I went shopping on the WWW and found that some of the stoves that Sears and Lowes carry are identical. Sears is having a great sale this week, plus I will get a discount on even sale merchandise. It is pretty definite that the stove will be coming from Sears. We will go tonite and look at the ones I think I like and probably make a decision. It may not even be one that I found while web shopping.
My! oh my! I am allergic to almost any type of housework. The symptoms are ‘web traveling’, working the public job, working on my crafts, visiting with DD, just pretending it will go away, or telling myself that I will do it tomorrow. (You know tomorrow never comes, don’t you?) I will have to admit that using vacuum cleaners is not on my list of favorite things to do. The most favorite thing that I do related to housework is cooking. Only cooking, not cleaning the kitchen after I have cooked.
DH and I have not had a vacation together in several years, at least 5. I mean not even going away for the entire week-end. We have never considered taking Orlando vacations. I have been to Orlando twice but DH did not go either time. I really do not know why that is not a vacation spot of choice. Always in the past when we have taken a real vacation, we have always gone to Freeport, the Grand Bahama Island.
I have done very little stitching this week. In fact, I have not even completed the round that I was working on last week.

Who in their right mind would write a check for only 32 cents?? I think I am usually in my right mind and I did write a check for this amount this past Monday. 
It made perfect sense to me, this was the interest due on the credit card that I had “paid off” on Saturday. I gave them cash on Saturday, but knowing this was indeed the FINAL amount and payment, I wanted to write a check so that I could write account paid in full in the memo section. Yes, I know that I would have gotten a receipt, but I am just this way–weird.
