AGAIN TODAY

After DH got home from the doctor and his other business today, he drove me to Mother’s. I bagged and priced some of her Christmas stuff and some Christmas craft supplies that I have had for years. I also washed, dried and folded three sets of sheets and 2 mattress pads. One set of the sheets is showing a little wear but the other 2 sets are almost brand new and go with matching comforters and bed skirts. I also washed some of my china that has been boxed away since 1965.

The tortoise was slow but steady and finished the race so I have hopes that I will also. There is still so much to be done. I really did not think that it would be this time consuming, but that is ok, when it is finished, it will be done. I plan to go back Sunday afternoon and do a little more, maybe I can get the china finished and repacked. I am hoping that I can sell it.

I have to find out how to make the walls all one color. The living room (family room) is very pretty paneling but where pictures have hung for years is a different color. I guess a good type wood polish and elbow grease will solve the problem.

I asked DH on the way home if he had a very boring afternoon and he said ‘no’. He wandered around outside, said he found a bunch of junk and watched TV.

NEEDED NOW

If I ever get finished with Mother’s house, I will need not one, but several luxury vacations. Where would I like to go you may ask? No where very far away. Let’s start with a week at Myrtle Beach, then maybe 3 or 4 days at Carowinds, last but not least a week in the Bahamas. My brother is in Nassau now, but I would like to go back to Freeport. I do not have to go any of the places mentioned to feel that I have had a vacation of luxury as long as DH is with me.

FEEDING THE FISHES

I do enjoy good fish. I had much rather have the fish satisfy my hunger than me feed the fish. I enjoy eating croaker, catfish, flounder, spots and whiting. The only fresh water fish I like is the catfish. I also like canned salmon cooked with eggs and served over rice. Wow! I just finished eating and could eat a good piece of fish now. I do not like fish served on a buffet, I prefer to go to a seafood restaurant and order them from the menu.

Now to the topic of this post: There are many ways to feed fish, beginning with the type fish one may have. Some fish food is made for only particular species of fish while other fish foods may be for several species. CRAFT CLUB #24

I have not worked a lot on the baby blanket since December 28th, but a tiny bit of progress has been made. If I had spent all of my crocheting time on it, I could probably be close to gifting it now. But sometimes one has to put one project aside and concentrate on another and that is what I felt I needed to do. Check out my entires in the Craft Club catagory and you will see what I did.

Anyway this is how Cooper’s blanket looks today all 16 inches of it lengthwise. Only about 25 or 26 more inches to go and it will be finished, maybe by high school graduation instead of college.
