CHRISTMAS–January 12

Yes, this will be our last Family Christmas for 2007. I know it is 2008, but that is just how we do it. If we have our Christmas late that is better than early or having it close to Christmas and half of the family members not being able to attend because of other family obligations. Anyway by having it late, one can get a much nicer gift because everything will be on sale. My daughter said I could not go by original price, only what it actually cost me. Two of the ladies are going to get “killer gifts”, if they like that sort of thing and I know that at least 2 of them do.

I need to get up from here, wash the gizzards that I will be putting in the dressing that I am taking for lunch. I also plan to take corn and watergate salad. Everything will be delicious except the turkey and the spiral ham. It is usually the honey baked spiral ham. I do not care for either of these meats, but everyone else likes them so they are fine with me. I know I will get plenty to eat.

It will be nice seeing everyone again with really a time for visiting.

HOME FURNITURE

Notice in the previous post, I mentioned the few extra hours that I am getting. I guess one would really not consider 10-12 a few when it comes to extra hours not just what was originally scheduled now that would be a few. With the hopefulness of the continued longer hours, I will not need to shop for any home theater furniture because I will not have time to use it. What furniture I have now will do fine for the week-ends and I am not expecting to keep having those off. Someone will complain and I will have to work a week-end now and then.

BEYOND FEELING not WELL

Translated that means I am sick. Have had a temp as high 100.2. Not very high for a child but for an old woman like me, it could be so. I went to the doctor on the 20th of December as I earlier reported. The meds he gave me helped with my cough and I did seem to be getting better, but then last Friday I was cold and again on Saturday, Sunday I woke up feeling like I had a big head and coughing with sneezes. I suffer thru Sunday and Monday, Tuesday I call the doctor just knowing he will say that I have to come in. Well, ‘Bless his Heart’ in a true matter, he called me in 2 new meds. I am now feeling a little better, do not think I am fevered (will check that in a few), I am still coughing and sneezing, have a runny nose. I can deal with all of the ailments as long as I feel fairly decent.

I could not afford to stay home from which I should have done Monday and definitely Tuesday, but that is okay. I have asked that my hours be increased to at least 23 per week and 25 would be better. This week I was originally scheduled only 15 hours (before my request) and asking a girl to let me work for her and filling in for someone that has a Dr.’s appointment I will end the week with 25 hours . Next week I do not like the hours I am scheduled, 11-6, with 30 minutes for lunch, but beggars can’t be chosers. That will give me a total of 26 hours, as I am only scheduled Monday thru Thursday and I really like having a long weekend.

Did I get sidetracked or what??. I do the same thing when I try to clean the house–start here end up there and then just quit.
