GREAT THERAPY

I have just found something that I would love to have -Human Touch HT 7450 Zero Gravity Massage Chair. Can you imagine the total relaxation this would give. I could use it right now as my right shoulder is paining me. HAIR ROLLERS

It has been years since I rolled my hair until last week.  Since my thyroid problems, the surgery and the radiation  my hair has gotten very thin.  Last week I decided to roll the top and sides to see if it would help hide the thinness.  I think that it did, so here I sit with part of my hair in rollers.  Not a pretty site, but maybe it will be look better later.  Rollers give me better results than the curling iron.  My hairdresser can use the curling iron and my hair looks nice but I can’t seem to get the results that she does.

CAR SHOPPING

My car has developed a weird squeak. My DH thinks that the shocks may need replacing. If it is something very serious or expensive I may need to trade as it is a 99 model. I, however, do not want an Auto Loan. I am trying to get out of debt instead of getting into more debt.

NOT GETTING the CART in FRONT of the HORSE

It bothers me a little that some may think my brother and I are trying to push Mother into her grave. That is definitely not the case. In going thru the papers that she brought with her when she came to live with us in September of 2004, I found her Preneed Funeral Contract papers dated February 2002. I know this is what Mother would want us to do.

No matter what any situation, we each have to do what we feel like we can live with later. I can live with the decisions I am making now easier than if I made a hurried decision, not thinking things thru, which can easily happen when someone you love dearly dies.

TELLING TIME

Do you wear a cheap but very reliable watch on your wrist or maybe a Panerai surrounded by diamonds. In my line of work, I prefer the cheaper watch as it is likely to get scratched or even snatched from my wrist. I have never owned a pendant or brooch watch and have never really wanted one of that type. If I should forget and leave my watch at home, it seems that I look at my wrist very often but should I wear it, I rarely check the time. Odd, but that is just how I am.

MOTHER 12-8-2007

I really do not know how many more posts I will be writing titled “MOTHER”.  She would not drink anything yesterday for me and neither today for my brother.  She would not even open her mouth for the straw.  She is not taking her meds.  She has an UTI and the doctor has opted not to treat it.  That in itself tells me that he really does not think there is a  need to do so, that in the long haul it will not help her.  Our goal is to keep her pain free and the only way to treat is by injection since she is not taking her meds.  In the very elderly UTIs are not painful like in a younger person.

My brother and I did some final decision making before we left the facility today and are trying to get those initiated and I came home and wrote a rough draft of her obit.  I know to some this may sound heartless and morbid, but I know from experience that the more that can be done before death, the better for those surviving. Mother did all she could while her health allowed.  She even wrote down the scripture verses she wanted read, a brief obit and had asked the people that she wanted to sing and some of her pallbearers.
