As I have been saying, my throat in the area of the thyroid has just not been ‘right’ the past couple of weeks. This problem really resurfaced with a vengeance on October 30th.
I called the surgeon on Monday and he saw me yesterday. After checking my throat and requesting an ultra sound of the throat area and me waiting while the screenings were prepared, he personally came to the waiting room for me and escorted me back to the conference room. Here he tells me that I have to have surgery again. Not knowing what the growth is, it must be removed. He apologizes because the radiation I had in August did not take care of the problem.
Less than 24 hours after I am in his office, all needed appointments prior to and the surgery have been scheduled. Dr. Tackett wants a CT scan of my throat and chest Nov. 15th @9 am, an evaluation of my vocal cords, Dr. Pollock,
ENT, Nov.16th @2:45 pm, OP pretesting Nov. 29 @ 9:30 am and last but by no means least ——–surgery Dec.5th @ 10:45 am, post op office visit Dec.12th @10:20 am.
Sounds as if my life is kinda planned, as far as man is concerned, thru the end of the year. I am on vacation now and will return to work on the the morning of November 16th.
If anyone knows where there is a money tree, please pick a few thousand for me. I still owe over 2/3 of the hospital bill from my surgery in July of 2006 and am looking at another $10,000. bill.
