I mentioned in an earlier post that I think my thyroid may be causing me more problems. I really hope that it is not, but all symptoms indicate that is the problem. Even so the confidence that I have in my surgeon has not changed, so I will not be needing the services of Washington DC medical malpractice lawyers. Someone suggested that I sue, but I really do not think it is a case of malpractice and if I did, I would be looking for another doctor.
I have been so stressed the past few days over my job, I have a stress related fever blister. One thing that is bothering me is someone else has been trained for the office and I am only used as a fill-in.
The main concern is the condition of the lay-a-way storage. Some people just do not think beyond the next second, if that far. Common sense should tell anyone if a box has a number on it for the purpose of identification, making said box easy to locate, “DO NOT” put another box in front of it hiding the number.
Friday, I had packages that I took to a new storage area in the far end of the building. It, too was a mess!!!!!! All packages were suppose to have been put on pallets. Not Done. In fact, I could not even get to the pallets because of items stacked in front of them.
I really can not believe the stupidity of supposedly intelligent people. But it really is not stupidity, the attitude is not caring, lack of pride in one’s work. It started raining one day after I left work so I called the person working in lay-a-way telling her she may want to check an area upstairs making sure the roof was not leaking. She replied “that is not in my job description”. I have to work with this person tomorrow. Thrill! Thrill!
If all goes well, my job will no longer bother me after February 20, 2009. I was planning to retire on January 16, but I will work another month and get 3 weeks vacation.
I have come to realize the hard way that good medical insurance is a must. Insurance is like an umbrella, one does not need an umbrella unless it rains, but must keep one on hand just in case. The same goes for health insurance, it is not worth a dime unless needed, then it is worth more than thousands of dollars.
Car insurance is also a must, one can have cheap car insurance that will cover the basics or get higher priced insurance and pay for items like collision that really is not worthwhile after your vehicle is a few years old. Liability insurance is mandatory in the US.
Home insurance is not mandatory, but one would be very foolish not to have their home insured. Disasters such as fire, flood and wind can do a lot of damage if not completely destroy a home and without insurance ‘one would be left out in the cold’ so to speak.
I did not go see Mother yesterday after I got off work. It was an extremely hard day and I was very tired. I went this morning and she does not even know I was in the room. I hung her clothes and gathered her dirty ones and she did not move.
Thursday she shook her head ‘no’ when I told her I had to leave. She said 3 or 4 words, I have no idea what they were. I wish I could have understood what she was saying. As frustrating as it is is for me, I am sure it is much worse for her.
