Did I spend my Saturday off just lazing about, sleeping until I was ready to get up, working on the baby blanket, maybe cleaning a little. No, I helped my daughter by chauffeuring the cheerleaders here and there.
For convenience sake they spent last night with me and we were across the river at my hairdresser’s shop before 9am. After they each get their hair cut, we stop by Wendy’s for food, then on to the appointed place for competition practice. While waiting for their time, we make a tentative menu for 3 meals per day x 6 days. After they go over their routine, we stop at the local grocery store to get something for DH’s supper and while there we do a little shopping for what they would like to eat while staying with us. Hurriedly, we bring in the groceries, put them away and I put baby limas in the crockpot.
Then we take off to see Mother, who is sleeping. I hang her clothes, re-arrange a few items in her room, check on how she has been eating and we leave.
Stopping on the way home at a SubWay shop, we get more to eat and then head on home.
It is not a normal day for me, but I did enjoy spending most of the day with the girls. I asked DD to spend time with me, but she had too much to do.
