MONTHLY CHORE

It is time to pay all those utility bills again.  It seems that I just did that but when I look at the bill folder, it says “nope, time to dip the pen in the ink well and start writing those checks”.   I really should do that tonight as I borrowed stamps from DD so that I could get them in the mail tomorrow.  Also, DH remarked that he did not like paying late fees when the money was in the bank to pay what needed to be paid.  Guess I just need to quit putting it off and get it done.

NEW CROCHET PROJECT

I did start the new baby boy blanket last night but was not happy with the results.  I like for the blankets to be about 36 inches wide and 40 inches long.  The only adjustment I made in the pattern was to change yarn and needle size.  The original pattern says the blanket should be 44 inches wide, with my adjustments it was 40 inches wide.  Tonight I will try to shorten the chain by 15 stitches.  This is the number of stitches needed to make the pattern design, if i counted correctly.  If I did not, I will be frogging again and starting over.  After the beginning chain is made then one sc in each ch across, so I will not know if my adjustment is correct until I have almost completed row 3.

MOTHER 10-10-07

I do not like it when I go to see Mother and get ill from the beginning.  Walk in her room and it is cold! a/c is on high and so is the fan.  Her meal tray is still across her bed, she is still wearing her bib, no coffee on the tray, her tea is still covered.  It appears as if no one made a real effort to feed her.  She did eat all of her sherbet and a banana pudding she had in her drawer and drank almost all of her tea, when I tried to feed her.  She would have no part of the real meal.

She did not smile at me tonight, but smiled at me twice Sunday night.
