COOKING
As mentioned, I was up way too late last night and it seems that I will be tonight also. I am preparing food for a family reunion that I have been anticipating since the good-byes were said at the end of last year’s reunion. I have had boston butts in the crock pots since about 1:30 today. I will make BBQ pork from those. I also have half of a fresh picnic which I will put in the oven shortly and cook on low heat (300) until about 9:30 in the morning.
A pineapple cake is baking now. I sure hope it turns out ok. The recipe said add 1 1/3 cups of water, I only added 1/3 and added a 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple, undrained. The timer just went off for the cake to be done. BRB The cake is a golden brown and looks delicious, I only hope it is. Do you think maybe I should test it before I take it to be eaten by extended family???
Need to get up and get the other meat ready to go in the oven.
