One of my cousins has asked that I make copies of a picture I have of our moms and the other 4 siblings in a group setting. They were all visiting the baby sister, born 4th, and someone took a snapshot of them. The picture is really good and portrays each of them as they actually were at that time. Everyone looks so serious except one uncle who has just the faintest smile.
There were 6 children in this family, 4 girls and 2 boys. The girls born first and then the boys. My mom is the oldest and still living (Jan 31, she will be 97) and the cousin’s mom was next and I cannot remember the year she died.
This aunt was so much fun, as a child I know now that I must have worried her unreal, but she loved me and put up with me. As a grown-up, I enjoyed her telling of childhood experiences. She always added a little extra to her stories. If they were funny stories, she would clap her hands together and laugh until tears ran down her cheeks. (I have tears running down my cheeks now as I am thinking of and missing her.) In my minds eye, I can see her so clearly.
