BED and BREAKFAST

Friday, October 5th, 2007

I have never stayed in a bed and breakfast while on vacation. I think if I were to ever vacation in England, that would be my choice rather than a hotel. I think that a Canterbury bed and breakfast would be the ideal place to stay. After looking at pictures of some of the bed and breakfast available, this would be so relaxing and comfortable and be more pleasurable than a simple hotel room.

REPRODUCTION

Friday, October 5th, 2007

One of my cousins has asked that I make copies of a picture I have of our moms and the other 4 siblings in a group setting. They were all visiting the baby sister, born 4th, and someone took a snapshot of them. The picture is really good and portrays each of them as they actually were at that time. Everyone looks so serious except one uncle who has just the faintest smile.

There were 6 children in this family, 4 girls and 2 boys. The girls born first and then the boys. My mom is the oldest and still living (Jan 31, she will be 97) and the cousin’s mom was next and I cannot remember the year she died.

This aunt was so much fun, as a child I know now that I must have worried her unreal, but she loved me and put up with me. As a grown-up, I enjoyed her telling of childhood experiences. She always added a little extra to her stories. If they were funny stories, she would clap her hands together and laugh until tears ran down her cheeks. (I have tears running down my cheeks now as I am thinking of and missing her.) In my minds eye, I can see her so clearly.

HAVE NOT

Friday, October 5th, 2007

I really have not done anything productive that can be seen as an improvement in the house today.  I have done several posts, but really need to de-clutter the dining table and my desk.  Papers I need would be much easier to find if I had them in their proper place.  I have good intentions for doing that but always get sidetracked.  Maybe if the computer was in another room,  I would not be so tempted to  sit in front of it instead of doing what I know I should.

I also want to crochet some today, but first must make some headway in the area of de-cluttering.   I need to finish the baby blanket I have been working on forever and want to start another one, the new one will be for a little boy.

CAZULAS MANSION

Friday, October 5th, 2007

Have you ever thought of going to a dreamland for your special and well-deserved get a way? You may just want an elaborate setting to enjoy or you may want to have enough space to accommodate family and special friends. Lots of couples from the United States go to the Bahamas for their honeymoon. The Bahamas is only 90 miles from the coast of Florida therefore making it a convenient location. But for your wedding and honeymoon consider a Spanish mansion with private chapel. After your wedding, enjoy your reception in the Moorish gardens.

This mansion is of Andalucian architecture, can easily accommodate 24 guest with 12 bedrooms and a bath for each bedroom. The Palaceté de Cázulas is in the heart of the Spanish hinterland between the coast and Granada. This mansion is located at the end of a serene Tropical Valley, giving peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the nearby towns and coast, allowing one lots of privacy.

Another great feature of this lovely mansion is the 30 foot swimming pool surrounded by walls of lovely evergreen trees and flowers providing privacy while you relax in and by the pool. All of your guest would have ample room in the pool for swimming.

FLAT TIRE

Friday, October 5th, 2007

Just before my shift was finished at work yesterday, someone calls the LAW (lay-a-way) department to tell me I have a flat.  I had noticed that it seemed to be slack but had not had a chance to mention it to DH as we have not talked in person for a few days. (In some areas, I am very dependant)  Sure enough the tire is quite slack, not completely flat.  I test drive thru the parking lot to see if it is pulling and since it is not I continue on to Sears to have it repaired.  2 hours and $18. later I am on my way home.

A hard day at work and flat tire means I am very tired, late getting home and do not make it to see Mother, but I am planning to go tonight after DH leaves for work.

STAIRS

Friday, October 5th, 2007

I have to climb stairs quite often at work. The lay-a-way department has some storage upstairs and the personnel office is upstairs. Yesterday I was going up to talk with the HR manager about my upcoming vacation and almost fell. Yes, most people fall down the stairs but I am different. Maybe I should ask the company to invest in a couple of stairlifts.

I am really glad that my house is only one level for several reasons. I have arthritis in my knees and sometimes stair climbing is difficult. Another reason is I do not have to worry about the younger grandchildren falling down the stairs when they are here. I guess to a degree, I am beginning to fear stairs. The closer to the top I get the more I think “what if I fall”. I definitely need to change my thoughts to something more pleasant.

I have never seen a stairlift in operation but have seen wheelchair lifts used in vans. If the stairlift operates as well and convenient as the wheelchair lift, there is no reason why it should not, it would certainly be worth the investment.

FAST LOANS

Friday, October 5th, 2007

It seems that on almost every street corner payday loans are opening an establishment. These cash advance loans are fast and save one the embarrassment of borrowing from a family member or friend. I can guarantee that the interest rate will be much higher from them than your friend or family.

These firms offer instant cash in your banking account and the process can be done on line. Be very sure that this is the only way to solve your cash problem because it could easily lead to more problems.

RIBS & RICE

Friday, October 5th, 2007

I have put pork ribs in the crock pot to cook so that today before DH goes to work, he will have a good meal.  I am thinking that I will put them on the stove when they are done and add rice to cook in the broth.  We both really like that.  I may even get collards and peas from the freezer and bake cornbread.  Does that not sound just yummy!!  This is the perfect meal for an overcast, may rain day.

Thinking ahead—the package of ribs will make us 2 meals, so I will freeze half of them after they are done and have partially cooled.  Another day I will put them back in the crock pot with barbecue sauce.

RINGS & JEWELS

Friday, October 5th, 2007

The saying goes “diamonds are a girl’s best friend”, but the girl may prefer another jewel such as a ruby, sapphire or emerald. I prefer the diamond and then the ruby, even tho my birthstone is the garnet. Jewels come in many cuts and may be set in various metals, so the choice of style and setting is yours. Shopping.com carries all of them: oval, round, emerald, pear, princess, and heart to name just a few. They also carry different brands such as Princess International, United Diamonds and RCMB.

Before you make your final decision on what you think is the perfect choice, be sure to visit Shopping.com, checking out what they have to offer at very, very reasonable prices. They have a price range they will fit almost any budget.
