A thunderstorm developed very quickly, rain came, and then almost as quickly as it developed, it was gone.  Of course, I had time to let Bullett in before the rain started.  During this very brief rain storm, we got about 1/2 inch of rain.  Very good!  I think another storm may come later as Bullett did not want to go outside when the storm was over.

They have devices that will cut corn off the cob, bean shellers and pea shellers, I wonder if they have anything that will cut the stem from okra pods. I am so sleepy now that I could not make a wise decision as to which would be the best if such a device existed. I would probably end up with golf cart parts instead of what I really need. I think after a short nap, I will just use the method that I know works, a sharp paring knife.

I was surprised at the amount of okra from the first batch I cooked. It yielded quite well, 6 packed cups. So we now have 3 packs of ready to eat okra, except for salting, in the freezer. I had to do a taste test, cold and no salt, it was good. When I prepare it for a meal, I will place it in a glass dish, add salt and microwave on high for 5 minutes, stir and microwave 3 -5 minutes more. Preparing this okra for a meal will be much easier than searching for Scottsdale real estate.
