VISITING MOTHER

DD reports that last evening Mother was sleeping in the day room when she visited.  She talked with Mother and rubbed her arm but Mother was too tired to stir, it was about 6:45.   DD found there were 2 housecoats hanging in her closet but the matching gowns and undershirts were in the laundry.  Some of those people are so bright (yeah, right), you have to pull off the housecoat to put on a clean gown and undershirt so why not put the housecoat on that matches the gown.

Sometimes I wonder how some of these people even take care of themselves much less someone else.

ALL NATURAL-OASIS

We know that all natural health products are much better for us than a synthetic one. So tell me why do we insist on using a product that is not the best for us. Just because it seems to do what we want and is easily available.from any drugstore and some retail stores. Natural health supplements are indeed better for us because the body can immediately use the supplement and does not have to process it before the body can benefit from it.

My DD is constantly promoting the ideas of natural health. I have been on synthetic meds for a year with no real lasting effects, I will start an all natural med this Friday and am looking forward to the results I will get from it.

In the past few years, we have all heard “stay out of the sun”. The sun is our best source of Vitamin D, using this sunscreen will protect our skin as well as allow the body to absorb the much needed vitamin.

MUTI-CLASS REUNION UPDATE

Really I don’t have much to say about it as I was unable to attend the planning meeting. I did get a letter from one of my classmates that gave the where, when, and how much $$. I do need to call him and ask if I can be of assistance when decorating our assigned room or with any of the other many things that will need to be done. I really prefer that just our class get together for a couple of hours and then invite other classes. This one is gonna be huge—classes from 1921 thru 1992. This is not graduating classes, just if you attended the school anytime during these years. This covers a time span of 86 years, from 1921 until now.

THROAT

My throat is so swollen I barely have any wrinkles in my neck.  It is so sore it seems that I have tonsillitis.    I was quite concerned, thinking it may be normal but then again not sure.   I called nuclear med at the hospital and it is not uncommon for this to occur after RAI.  This is one temporary side effect they failed to mention.  Should it swell to the point I have problems breathing or swallowing, I am to call back.

On second thought, they did say it may affect the saliva glands.  Only the right side of my throat is sore and swollen, but is is so swollen it is affecting the left side.  The swelling is in the area of the thyroid tissue, so I did not associate it with the saliva glands.

Still do not know why I am so sleepy!!  Maybe my body is just saying rest and let the medication do its job.
