We just had a thunder storm pass thru. It did not last long, but the thunder was close and loud and it dropped .3 inch of rain. The heat index has been unreal today with warnings to say inside after 10 AM until 6 PM. The temp gauge changed, not by much and the heat index is still unreal. I am very thankful for the A/C.
Our Diner is not closed, so the cook needs to get moving!!

I think the best money that we have spent on property improvement was probably having our backyard fenced. Got up this morning, did my rituals. All of them I thought. I had not even made it a mile down the road and remembered that I had forgotten something quite important. I turn around, come back home and rectify the situation, go back to the car and —–it will not crank as in the motor will not even turn over. Called work, then called for help. Help did arrive but really could not help. I call work back and tell them I will not be in. I sure hope DH can fix the problem when he gets home. I am suppose to be in the cash office tomorrow and I really really need to go see Mother tonight.
