A planning meeting was held this afternoon for the reunion of classes from 1921 thru 1992. I was suppose to attend this meeting, but called the lady that organized the meeting ( she drove my school bus) and told her I just could not make it but would be in contact with her again in a few days. I am disappointed that I could not go, but really think that I made the right decision.

The higher my TSH level goes, the weaker I feel.

DH looks after me.  I offered to prepare something for his supper but he asks what do I want and if I feel like going into town.  I tell him that I feel as much like going into town as I do preparing him something. Again he asks what I want, when I tell him liver with onions and beets from K & W, he says get ready.  He has already suggested tomorrow night’s supper, leftovers.  Can’t get much easier than leftovers.

What do you most enjoy, or miss, about being single?  WOW!  I have been married almost 31 years, so it is hard to even remember single life.  I now only usually cook 4 of 7 meals per week, so I guess the thing that I miss the most is not cooking unless I just wanted to prepare something special.

Do you buy brand name or generic name items when you grocery shop? Are there any brands that you are completely loyal to, no ifs and/or buts?

I buy both. It really depends on the item. I will buy nothing but Kraft Mac and Cheese. I only use Bounty paper towels and stock up when they are on sale. Will use some store brand tomatoes. I do like a bargain, so will use ‘off’ brands if they are comparable. If it does not meet my expectation then I go back to the name brand. I especially like it when I can find out the maker of generic or store brand products. I have found out that one store brand of disposable diapers is made by Pampers. That really pleased me.

BLOG your BLESSING 8-5-07

I did not blog here last week. My all the time blessing can be found here.

Today my blessing is consideration. If you are a regular reader of my blog, you know that I have not been feeling well, and seem to have less energy today than I had yesterday. I had no reason to get up other than to go to church, so I didn’t. I did not get up until about 11:15. DH got up much earlier and pitter-patted around very quietly so as not to disturb me. When I got up the TV was on mute. How much more considerate can I ask any human to be? I think that is tops. For quite a few months now, on days I could stay in bed, he has not disturbed me.

A few years ago, my sister-in-law gave my brother, for his birthday, concert tickets to see one of his favorite bands. After the concert, he stated that he thoroughly enjoyed the concert and it was the most fun he had experienced in a long, long time. I enjoyed hearing the excitement in his voice as he described in detail the events of the concert. They live in the capitol city so are privileged to many concerts as there are several colleges within just a few miles of them.

I am due to have my radioactive iodine treatment soon, RAI. I am more than ready to swallow that pill, be in isolation for as long as is required and then get on with the rest of my life. I know that those who hear me complaining all the time will also be glad when it is over. I hope afterwards not to hear “What is wrong with your voice?” or “Don”t you feel good today?” or “You look like you feel so bad.” The doctors have not mentioned the use of a plasma cutter for this procedure. I really do not think that will be neccesary or is even a part of RAI.

I will post more about the RAI treatment after I learn more.

What do you plan for your life?? To get rich overnight, use your talents wisely, make the best of the worst situation, chose to be happy? Whatever we do in life, good or bad, there are consequences. We make our own choices after a certain age and are responsible for those choices. Even as young children, we can choose to do our best or do just enough to get by the parental supervision.

Remember you make your own “garden of life“. Will your garden be full of flowers or full of weeds?

This time, let’ go to Whistler,BC. Holiday Whistler provides vacation rentals in Canada, specifically Whistler. Many of the Whistler accommodations provide “ski in ski out”, wood burning fireplaces and private hot tubs. I do not ski, so I would need to have ski lessons which can be arranged when I am making my reservations at any Whistler lodging or Whistler condo rental that I chose.

I am all about the view, not of people but of nature SnowyCreek 17 would give me this. Also If i chose not to use the “ski in ski ou” feature, I would wonly be 1 minute from the slopes and 2-3 minutes from the village.

Many extras are available thru Holiday Whistler such as child care, daily maid services, massages, catering and snowboarding. Something for everyone.
