MORTGAGE RATE

Depending on where you live, mortgage rates are usually different. Now that the outside of the house is finished, I have to consider if I should get a california mortgage rate or a NC mortgage rate to repair the inside. Due to undetected water leaks, until after the damage was done, we have several soft spots in the floor that have to be repaired. DH has already repaired the laundry room and I just can not bring my self to ask how much it cost. He had to redo the entire floor. Yes, we may just have to get a second mortgage.

EDUCATION

BEST DAY YET

I almost had the best day yet in the cash office.  I had finished counting the money at 8:30.  That is the earliest I have ever finished.  Then the troubles began.  My summary was short $20., so I recounted by hand all of the 20’s, 10’s, 5’s and 1’s, never found it.  Charges were over by just a few dollars.  Guess who made this error, right! one of the managers did not open a register but used her personal number for a transaction.  After a lot of digging I found and could solve this problem.  I had not added someone’s change to the grand total, so I had to use brain power to figure out why the change did not balance.  A lot of wasted time due to my careless error and the manager’s.  Anyway I closed summary even tho it was short, hoping end of day cash would balance.  Not!!  No cashiers were short but $20 was found in a register, too late to use  it to balance today, so I will start tomorrow $20. over.  Oh well, at least I will know why.  I finally finished about 12:15.

LOW COST BATTERIES

It seems that I am always in need of batteries of some type. Most often I need them for my digital camera and camcorder. Sometimes tho, the flashlight needs replacements. At lowcostbatteries.com I can find any battery that I may need because they are the Worlds Battery Experts and make every effort possible to keep the prices low.

I shall have to direct DD to this site before she needs to replace her Laptop Batteries. If she should keep her laptop longer than the batteries are made, they will even rebuild the batteries it now uses or even if she has difficulty finding the correct battery. She will just need to contact them for a free rebuilding quote.

BUSY! BUSY! UPDATE

I am not scheduled at K-Mart today, but I will be very busy.

1) go across the river and get DH’s contacts. Done

2) go to the nursing home and check on Mother. Done

3) go home (Mother’s house) and try to dig up dogwoods. could only get one

3a) while there go to Clarkton and get poison to go on one of her plants that is infested with something. Done–also had short visit with classmate and even shorter visit with cousin.

4) go to DD house so she can do some tweaking of my site. Done- she came home with me for supper and did tweaking here that could not be done at her house.
5) go thru my medical bill notebook and make sure that all is filed correctly and all insurances have been filed. did not complete

6) straighten the dining and living room. NOT

7) prepare supper. Yummy!! smoked pork chops with rice, cabbage and stewed down potatoes–put grease from p.chops in other dishes for seasoning.

8)- write checks for Mother’s bills. Done

9) blog, Blog, and BLOG–very little

10) file all paid for blogging correspondence copies in their respective space in the Blogging Notebook. NOT

Did not get all tasks done, but I think I did ok, considering about 3 hours was lost due to driving time.

What is PPP Direct?? This is a new feature that PayPerPost has added for the people that are members of their blog team, we are also known as ‘posties’. We do blog post thru opportunities that are listed on the PPP website for monetary compensation. If you are interested in blogging for compensation, this is a way to earn while having fun.

What is so different or special about PPP Direct? More money for us the posties. With this link on our website, the advertiser contacts us direct, we set the price or negotiate the price and we are paid the full amount we say. BIRTHDAY

DH will have a birthday in just a few more days. As usual, I have no idea what to get him. DD has already marked her calendar to come over for supper. Our Diner will probably serve big dry limas with rice and hot sausage. That is one of his favorite menus and will be of no surprise as that is what I usually prepare for his birthday. I have asked what he would like but as usual he said ‘whatever’. Not hard to cook for unless I throw in something new and very different.

Could not have written this post if it had not been for the words “as usual”.

BRANSON

DH and I have never traveled much. We are both ‘home bodies’. He traveled quite a bit before we married and was just tired of going, going, and going some more. We do take day trips quite often but that is about it. We both like Southern gospel, country and bluegrass music, but have never discussed going to Branson for any of the musical festivals that are sure to take place there. Maybe one day, not gonna happen.

DNA

DD and I were talking last night about the children she has left at home. She says she has pattern A and pattern B children. GD#2, #5 and GS#1 are pattern B. GD #3, #4 and GS #2 are pattern A. GS #3 is a pattern all to himself. When he was very young, up to about age 1, he was definitely pattern B, but not anymore. I also call him the judge, he can look at you so serious and never crack a smile, not even in his eyes. Within the next minute, he will be all laughs. I suggested that we have DNA samples done just to see which parent he is most like.

AFRAID of WATER

That is true , folks. I am very afraid of water. I think that one of the reasons that I am so afraid is that the summer after 7th grade I went to the beach with a very good friend and her family. Of course, at that age, I saw no danger. I was playing on an intertube and started floating out to sea. I finally got close enough to the pier to grab the piling. Her dad swam out and rescued me. Her mom was afraid for me. She said she could just see herself having to tell my mom that I had drowned. Due to this fact, I will never have to be concerned with Virgin Island yacht charters. This friend and her husband would enjoy the charter.
