Further blog surfing introduced me to another blog that Marcus writes. This blog is technical and also tell us of places to visit for savings and free stuff. We all like free stuff. As stated, this blog is technical, you will love the name and his logo.
I always use a credit card when traveling. I also use a credit card when I shop anytime after Thanksgiving. Personally, I think a credit card is much safer to use than cash, especially for a female. Credit Cards can be placed in your pocket and the purse that could be snatched from you left at home. I think more and more people are using credit cards because they are so convenient. A credit card is almost always needed for on line purchasing. If all purchases are made with a credit card, one always has a paper trial of how the money was spent. Some credit card companies even offer a guarantee for items purchased with their card. Advice: always search for a low interest credit card, do not make frivolous purchases, and if at all possible pay off the balance each month when your statement is received.
I have never seen a bear except in captivity. I just read that if I were to go to some Pigeon Forge vacation rentals, I may just see one or more. That is why I think I may stay close to home. No doubt, if I were to venture outside the cabin, I am sure I would see one and then be too frightened to move, becoming bear meat. Not a good idea to me, so I will repeat myself, I think I will just stay home.
One of the most irritating things to me is not enough light. If I ever have the good fortune to buy another house, it will have overhead lighting in the living room. I guess back in 1980, the builders thought one would not need to see in that room. I do have overhead lighting in the kitchen but when I stand at the sink, whatever I am trying to see is in my shadow. I mentioned to my DH that I sure would like to have more light. He said find a fixture for under cabinet lighting and I will put it up for you. So very simple, now after about 27 years of poor light, I can see without shadows.
The people aren’t new, but meeting them is. My daughter Cass had two fellow bloggers and posties visiting her on Saturday. She invited me over after I got off work, so of course I wanted to meet these people, I went.
Deb is from NJ and is a very warm person. Visit her life blog and you will encounter the warmth. She has a way with conversations that makes it easy to talk with her. I enjoyed visiting with her. Deb is very knowledgeable about procedures for taking care of one’s skin and other health issues.
Marcus is from Lumberton about 80 miles away. He is the epitome of a southern gentleman! I hope my grandsons noticed his manners. Marcus has a great blog that approaches several different subjects: religion from a Christian point of view, sports, politics, and his life happenings to name a few. He is a full time security guard and is now studying to be a respiratory therapist.
Not really, but quite a bit. I went to bed last night about 8:30 and got up this am about 9:30. I was asleep most of that time. It seems that the network cables from my brain to my body or vice versa were working well last night. Even tho the wind was quite strong, making the night very noisy, I woke a few times, but not nearly as many as I usually do. All in all, I had a restful night which I desperately needed. I think if I slept better more often, my health would improve.
