BLESSED AGAIN !!

God has richly blessed me again. The test results from the PET scan show that I have a 2cm nodule in the right parathyroid location. It is below the typical threshold for malignancy, measuring metabolic range is up to 1.4. I do not understand all of this. I think it is saying that left alone, I could develop full blown cancer because of the cancer in the goiter when I had my surgery.

I was given the option of having radioactive iodine treatment when I had my surgery but 2 doctors said they did not think it was necessary and my husband based on what they said didn’t either. I felt at the time that I should but was assured by the endocrinologist that if cancer developed it could be detected by a certain blood test, so I did not.  At the time I had the blood test done in December ( I think) it was negative for cancer.

The surgeon tells me today that I need to have this treatment. That is fine by me. Hopefully that will rid my worry of cancer for a while anyway. I will see the endocrinologist on 5-22 to schedule the treatment.

God is good to me even tho I am a pessimist.

CHEAP FLIGHTS to TENERIFE

My mom was about 80 when she flew the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it.  If she were able to fly now, I wonder if she would like to get cheap flights to Tenerife. I am sure she would because she has always been frugal. However she would spend next to her last dollar on a flower to be planted in the yard.

She always wanted the window seat so that she could see where she was going.(lol)  Really, she did like the window see to better enjoy seeing the clouds and the sun and moon thru them. My mom has always been very serious and easily pleased so giving her the window seat was really not a problem for me.

As for myself, I do not like to fly, but when I do, I also want cheap tickets and the aisle seat.
