DISNEY TICKETS

I was within seeing distance of Disney World, but did not go. The only theme park I would like to visit is CaroWinds, sentimental reasons, we went there on our honeymoon.

ANOTHER DR. VISIT

Today I went to see the doctor that did my thyroid surgery.  I have had a choking sensation since last October or November on the right side of my throat.  This is the same side the minute amount of cancer was found in the goiter.  I do not think the problem is cancer but maybe scar tissue or I pulled the incision on the inside before it healed.  He did a needle aspiration for a biopsy, unbelievable, but it did not hurt.  He sure did hurt me during the exam pressing on the enlarged tissue.

Today was only $825. and he did not even charge me for an office visit as he considered it part of the follow-up from my surgery in July.

One day when I really want to get depressed or count my blessings, I am going to add all my medical expenses since this thyroid problem started last May.

VISITING MOTHER

DD and I went to see Mother last night. Mother told DD that she did not like the flowers on the door. I think they remind Mother of flowers one would put on a grave several months after the fact. That is what they look like to me. I don’t like them either, but we can’t remove them because they belong to the lady beside her.

Mother looked a little uncomfortable in the position she was laying, but shook her head no when we asked her.

My cousin and her daughter went to see Mother yesterday. Mother was asked in two different ways if they went and each time she said no. I have not talked with my cousin so I do not know Mother’s response to them.

Both of Mother’s hands were a little swollen and her face looked swollen.

DOCTOR VISITS

No!! not the type where you invite them in for a glass of “brewed, sweetened iced” tea or a cup of coffee, but the type where you go to their office and it cost you a large piece of gold.

I went by the endocrinology office and gave a vial of blood for the thyroid testing. Would you believe that sticking my arm and 2 test was $171.

After being told that my left carotid artery was 50% blocked, the cardio surgeon told me yesterday that it was not and I had no worries as far as that was concerned. He did recommend that I take an aspirin daily.This OV was $180.

Yesterday’s total $351.00.  I have never been rich and unless there is a miracle, I never will be at this rate.  I may have lack of faith, but I do not believe God will supply the miracle to make me rich, however I will never go really hungry.

PROCRASTINATION

I have done very little on my well laid out plans for getting 3 rooms of my house in order during my mini vacation. I have done quite a bit in the freezer room,but no one can tell because the top of the freezer is loaded with junk I need to go thru and either toss it or put it away neatly. Since I do not have any doctor appointments tomorrow, maybe I can at least get that room finished.

I AM OBESSED

My bird watching friend Ang. has tagged me for my obsessions. This is gonna take some thought on my part. Some of you can probably name several of my obsessions that will never come to my mind. The list will not be in obsession order. My list of 5 obsessions and then the 5 people that I have tagged.

1. Computer–I spend hours on end at this computer, when I should be up doing house stuff.
2. Coffee–When I am home, all day long. As a smoker I drank only diet Pepsi. When I quit smoking, my drink of the day was water, now my choices are coffee or water. Always water with meals, NO lemon.
3. Work–I am always thinking about work. That is bad for my health. Yes, I am on mini vacation this week and things about work keep popping in my head, such as planning how I am going to do such and such or a better way to do them.
4. Chocolate candy, Musketeers and Hersey bars. No dark chocolate, please.
5. Personal Bookkeeping–I keep a manual running record of these in separate notebooks: money made blogging, my doctor bills (from my surgery and all the recent tests), my credit card bills. I break the credit card record into several sections.

If the credit card record interest you, leave a comment and I will get back with you. This is really encouraging to me as I am trying to get out of debt.
