My cell phone is the companion I have with me on all my road trips. Doesn’t matter if it be the one mile road trip to my daughter’s or the 45 minute road trip to see my mom. I also have my cell phone with me at all other times, except during my working hours. Then it is in my locker just in case the facility has an non-emergency message for me or anyone else needs to contact me. I am not on a prepaid plan because I fear that I would fail to keep up with my minutes and when I needed them most would not have any.
Prepaid cell phones are a great choice for some, especially those who do not wish to commit to a high monthly bill, or whose credit may not let let them qualify for the non prepaid service. Also, if you are on a limited budget, there will be no surprises due to one month your bill being within in your budget range and the next being much more than you had anticipated. With a prepaid service, one purchases the minutes to be used in advance. One will always know how many minutes they have and when it is time to purchase more minutes, rather than talking away and using too many minutes and escalating the phone bill.
Many different companies offer prepaid cell phone service. A few of them are T-Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Liberty Mobile and Cingular.
If I were going to use a prepaid company, it would be Cingular as they are the only company that offers roll-over minutes. Cingular GoPhones have all the features of the wireless Cingular with no annual contract.
