MOTHER-PART 27
Today when I arrived Mother’s door was shut. I knocked and was told ‘just a minute’. This was at 3:50. Had I known they were getting her up for supper that is served between 5:30 and 6, I would have gone right on in and told them it was too early for her to get up. I don’t know how many times this one issue has to be addressed. I spoke with her nurse and she said she had already spoken with the aid.
My brother said that mother said a very few words on Sunday. Today when I asked how she was she replied “I’m sleepy”.
I told her I had to leave and she shook her head “no”. That makes leaving hard.
