MOTHER-PART 25
Finally went to see my mom yesterday. I had not been to see her since the 24th of January. I really did not feel like going, but it seemed like such a long time since I had visited her. I did not even feel like going on her birthday.
She did not make any indication that she knew me. When I would talk with her, I addressed her as Mother. She would look in my direction only because I was talking to her.
She ate a great lunch, 99%. I know that to be correct because I fed her. She does not always eat that well. My brother reports today that she did not eat well last night or today’s lunch. Do not know how she did at breakfast.
It is a very good thing that I went yesterday!! I don’t know how it happened, but she was wearing her last clean gown and robe. I really do appreciate my good friend letting me use her place to get Mother’s laundry done. If she had not, then the facility would have had to do them. I think the way they have to do laundry is just to harsh on the garments.
Mother’s lab reports are just not looking good at all. Three of them are really bad, but nothing that I am aware of can be done about it.
