You know, I haven’t eaten squash in years because the grocery-store stuff has no flavor. I grew up picking it (or whatever veggies were on the menu)in the afternoon for the evening meal. Now that was good stuff. I get some farmer’s stuff out where I live now, but I guess it’s meeting “market standards” because it just doesn’t have the flavor. Kinda, sorta tastes like … plastic.

You make it sound so good, anyway. Mahalo for sharing !

1 Word—YUM!! I think I’ll be trying this one tomorrow after a trip to the store for some squash! I love the idea of bacon drippings! Thanks so much! I’ll let you know how I fare in my attempt!!
