I LOST MONEY
Not hundreds, only dollars, but money is money. The other day at work I had a bag of M&M’s in my pants pocket and also some change and a five dollar bill. The lay-a-way department was not busy, so it was my job to put merchandise back on the shelves that customers had decided for one reason or another they did not want. Breaking the rules, I was eating on the snack in my pocket. About an hour or so later, after I had thrown away the candy bag, I put my hand in my pocket and only felt the change. ‘ “Lord have mercy”, I can’t afford to lose that money,’ I think to myself. I hurriedly retrace my steps, but the money is not on the 2 aisles that I think it would be. As I start back to the front of the store very disappointed, I glance over to a big open aisle (maybe 8 feet across) that I had evidently gone down and there lays my money, still folded. “Thank you, Lord.”
