What happened this day, you may ask? Well, I made my parents very happy, especially my mom. Mother had 2 surviving sons from a previous marriage (widowed) and she and Daddy had 1 son. She said she told Daddy before I was born ‘boy or girl no more babies’. God saw in his wisdom to give them me an ugly little baby girl. Mother said that during her pregnancy with me that she was so very sick and tired.
Now you want to know how I spent my birthday? “Not really” you say. Oh, but I am going to bore you with the details.
I get up when DH calls to take my medicine, did not even think about it being my birthday until he started telling me to have a good day and Happy Birthday. I go back to bed and get up about 8, have a couple of cups of coffee, go to the bank, get some money, go pay for my daughter’s van (loan) go to Whiteville to the funeral home where my cousin’s deceased husband is and wait for her to come, spend a little time with her and her grown children. Then I go visit with Mother and feed her lunch, come back to hometown, go to daughter’s house as we had planned for me to spend the afternoon with her so she could upgrade my blog for me. Before working on my blog, we go get her van, then make some additions to the blog, we think we are starving so I go to KFC and get enuff chicken that we can eat some and they still have supper from it. She works some more on the blog, I come home prepare DH some supper, and wash and dry my mom’s clothes.
DD and some of the children wish me Happy Birthday, even the 2 1/2 year old when she hears the others.
My brother called me while I was at DD house.
My cousin in all her distress remembered the conversation she and my daddy had the morning I was born.
All in All it was a good day–God kept me safe in my travels.
So I say “Happy Happy Birthday to me”.
Til Next Time

I enjoyed you being here today. It was fun.
