ERROR

Sunday, October 29th, 2006

A few post back I reported my gas milage to be 29.786 mpg.  I found another gas receipt for that period and it is really 26.586 mpg.  Disappointed, but I guess that is still pretty good.

MY TODAY

Saturday, October 28th, 2006

So far, I have put out the dog, gave him his food.

Made coffee and am drinking on my second cup.

Turned the dryer on so that Mother’s robes could finish drying.

Measured the baby blanket —it is now 16-1/2 inches long.  It will seem to really move along now until I am about 10 inches from the finish.

I now must pay the household monthly bills.  That is a chore that I really dislike doing.  It seems to take forever and there are only about 5 of them.  I missed placed the electric bill last month so I have to get it paid, if none of the others make it today.

Other things on the agenda:

visit Mother

work on the baby blanket

maybe do some laundry

fix supper

work some more on the bably blanket

I think there is something wrong with my site meter.  My daughter has checked it and says it is set correctly.  I just find it strange that someone visits the same time that I do .

VISIT TO DOCTOR

Friday, October 27th, 2006

Had an appointment with the endocrinologist this morning.  I like him because he doesn’t seem to be in such a hurry that he doesn’t have time to listen to me.  He also has time to explain what is going on with my body.

He requested a lot of labs, as I am still tired.  He said this could be due to high calcium or the synthroid is not at the correct dosage.

Also,he requested that I have the “thyroglobulin quantitative” test.  This will show if the thyroid cancer is anywhere else in my body.  Not where it is, just that it is present.

I now need something to lower my blood pressure. (lol) The bill for today was only $658.

On my way home, I went by to see DMIL.  I had not seen her in quite a while.  It is really shameful of me.  Yes, I have excuses—seems I spend most of my free time (my what) going to see Mother.  I do not venture out much at night.  I just like to be at home.

Need to finish Mother’s laundry, put on a pot of dry beans to cook (rainy, dreary day-a good day for them) and work on that baby blanket.

RAMBLINGS

Thursday, October 26th, 2006

DH called and he is working over.  He has to stay until the welding is finished.  The OT would be ok if he had not been working at least 70 hours a week since Sept 5.

Mother was not interested in having a visit this afternoon.  She seemed to be really sleepy.  I asked her about going to her church’s homecoming, but could not get a straight answer.  I think that it may be a little much for her, but if I had gotten a positive answer from her, my brother and I were planning to take her.  I can not handle her by myself so he said if she wanted to go that was fine with him.

The baby blanket is slowly growing.  I should be working on it now.  I will in a few minutes.  I may give you length tomorrow.

Work was hectic today.  Do a little bit of this, then a little of that, then back to the original task.  I finished about 1:20, was suppose to finish at 1.  The cash balanced to a zero, that is the goal everyday.

Gonna go crochet now.

TIRED

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

I am so tired and it is only 7:10.  I wonder if my synthroid is at the correct dosage.  It seems that I am getting more tired every day.  Thankfully, I have an appointment Friday so I should know something late Monday or Tuesday.

I called the facility and asked the nurse to tell Mother that I would not visit her today.

DISAPPOINTED

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

Work was not smooth today.  I had to call the helpline twice and was 45 minutes late finishing.

The store manager is rushing me to finish.  I was scheduled 7 hours and he wants me to finish in 4.  I have only been in the office a month.  The month includes days off and days worked in other departments.

The HR manager is apparently satisfied with my progress, she gave me a raise because of job classifaction, knowing I was still learning.

All I can do is hope that tomorrow will be better.

BABY BLANKET

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

The blanket is finally 12 inches long.  I only have about 30 inches more to do.

I have a feeling that November will be here before the blanket is finished.   I need to get up from this puter and work on it.

ON TIME

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

I finished work again on time yesterday.  I can leave anytime that I finish, but should be thru by at least 12 or 1, depending on what day it is.

I could have left about 20 minutes early if the person that did the Western Union and Money Order activity had done it correctly.  The report that is printed from their data has to match the data from the office, if it does not, I have to call procedure services to correct it.

I will have to correct Sunday’s and Monday’s errors tomorrow, as I was off today.

Maybe tomorrow will be a good day and I can get out early.  I have a few errands that I need to do as well as visit Mother.

Mother

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

Yesterday she seemed real tired and would only talk when I asked her something and part of the time she would not even answer me.

Today Mother’s mind does seem to be some better.

She could not remember what she had for lunch, which is not unusual.  The aid said she ate about 50%.  I took her some spareribs w/rice and some peas.  She said that she wanted me to heat it up. This was about 12:30.  She ate all that I took her.

She then wanted me to roll her down to where they keep the ice.  I knew what she wanted, but I played her game.   As we were going down the hall, she tried to see in each room.  Finally after we had started down another hall, I asked what she was looking to see and she replied, I thought ——- (my brother) might be down here.  I told her he was home and she seemed to be satisfied.
